Music on Hold

I kinda like the music, it's Peter Gabriel and friends, in your eyes...

It's a hell of alot better than the old asterisk standby of "fp calm river" and what not.

I would be cool to know my position in the queue tho... is this still possible?

Thanks,

Zacron

I've been enjoying the hold music as well, but when I ask for the name of the track, the tech support people have no idea.

Anyhow, the chip-tune sounding song is great - SM me if you know the artist/title!

I'll see if I can get the list, but there are no ways for us to know what is being played other then getting ourselves put on hold on our system to listen to the actual song & knowing what it is.

I've noticed that as well when I've have to call in, they've got some pretty decent songs on there.

The only one that is full of hate from me is that one with the older lady opera sounding song... and the default asterisk music.

I wonder if Socan is getting their pound of flesh for that.

Yeah, that's why we went with a beep every 15 seconds. At the time I looked in to it, the price was something like $90.00 for the first line, and $5.00 per additional line.

THANKYOU Martin!

MacroForm - Cold Day is the song! I've never heard of the artist, but I'm going to see if I can buy some more of this stuff.

Remember when the quality/volume/etc. of the on-hold music was the only concern people had with Tek?

It boggled the brains to even think it is/was a concern.
If I had the time to concern myself with hold music Id be a happy dude.

That's a pretty decent lineup for hold music.

I still say you'd have a great telephone line if you could allow users to choose the genre of music they hear.

Personally, I prefer NOT being on hold long enough to listen to the music

Pretty good playlist.

For April Fools, may I suggest you put Weird Al Yankovic versions of popular songs.

Not like the garbage RIM has, eh? It's those little things. They go a long way. I recall being put on hold with someone and was actually temped to tell them to bounce be down the queue when they picked up.

It would be interesting if you'd throw in some lesser known artists. Maybe Jonathan Coulton's version of Baby Got Back, or The Future Soon, or Shop Vac, or Ikea...

Granted, it's not the most important thing in the world, but I figure it'd be worth mentioning.
