Re: USGs firmwares
Release notes imply IPv6 is enabled. Reportedly duplicates IPv4 firewall rules automatically when upgrading. I'm completely unclear how IPv6 would interoperate with existing VLANs. Maybe it just means that the tagging, tag reading, and untagging functions in the router and switch have to work on messages with longer IP addresses.
I will be surprised if my ISP Fairpoint, presently unable to supply adequate bandwidth and latency to outside their domain, will expend effort to embrace IPv6 in the near future. But then, given some recent web rumblings raising the question of whether IPv6 security is ready for prime time, it may not immediately matter.
Bug fix list is quite long (almost put me to sleep). I thought some of the fixed issues seemed related to some I've seen raised here.
