I'm a PS2 owner. Sony made smart moves during the 2001 holiday season -- they upped their third party game output. Every time I see an ad now for a game that looks half-way decent it always seems to have a PS2 at the bottom of the page. Aside from Halo, I haven't seen a game that truly peeks my interest on the XBox, aside from a solid football game, if one exists on the XB (but PS2's Madden 2001 is still the best ever in my opinion, 2002 had too many flaws).
The point is, PS2 has given us some truly great games in the past 6 to 12 months. And I personally know 3 people who went out and bought a PS2 just because they played GTA3 for 10 minutes. Metal Gear Solid 2 is another system seller. I'm not a big racing fan, but from what I've seen and heard PS2 has some of the best racing games ever made. I guess I can't give an honest opinion on the XB, only to say that from what I've seen it doesn't seem to have much in the way of Killer App games available. | |

I have both PS2 and XBox and I agree, there are limited titles for Xbox...for now. But there were for PS2 6 months after launch. I remember waiting and waiting for GT3 and Metal Gear Solid. MGS is going to be ported to XBox so it'll no longer be a PS2 exclusive. BTW, NFL Fever for XBox smokes Madden on PS2. Coming soon is a slew of 1st person shooters for XBox including Ghost Recon which will smoke MGS. Also Medal of Honor, Lord of the Rings, and the new Star Wars RPG. Lord of the Rings and MoH are both XBox exclusives. For racing, Sega is releasing Sega GT (not quite as good at GT3 but still pretty good). It takes time to develop a "signature" game like GT but it'll happen, if it already hasn't from Halo.
