bvgas join:2011-11-06 Great Neck, NY | STB Ethernet Port I have one particular STB which can't seem to get Program Info. I was wondering if there is anyway to use the Ethernet Port on the back of the STB to give it "Internet Access" so it will give me Program Info on my TV and allow access to my Multiroom DVR? |

 | reply to bvgas as a test, ensure that there are no splitters, VCRs, DVRs, etc between the coax and the STB |

That would have been Great. I would have wired CAT7 Cable's to all my Set Top Boxes and Then used my own Router. |

Make sure all your splitters are rated at least 1Ghz. Check you MOCA LAN stats: »Verizon Online FiOS FAQ »How to check MOCA stats? -- There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't.

 | reply to bvgas Also you can look at the fios router and look at the coax lan it should be lit green and not flashing if not green no connection between the router and stb, if green but flashing you have a moca speed issue at one or more boxes. You can trouble shoot which box by disconnecting one stb at a time then go back and check the light on the router, if it stops blinking then you found the stb that has low moca, if it is the same box that has no guide info then you know why |

bvgas join:2011-11-06 Great Neck, NY | reply to bvgas I actually found out what the issue was - I have 8 STBs. When I disconnected one I now get the program info. I think the MOCA only supports 7 STBs given that some of my STBs must be considered the older technology. |

bvgas join:2011-11-06 Great Neck, NY | reply to bvgas Unfortunately I did not get all my STBs at once. When I had the initial install I think they were still using the MOCA 1.0 and only supported up to 7 STBs |
