Re: Dish Network DVR with 6 tuners

On occasion I find 3 or sometimes 4 shows on at the same time that I want to watch/record. With my old cable I could watch one show through the cable while recording 2 others. I just switched to FIOS and BTW my install tech said he expected 4-tuner and 6-tuner DVR's to be available this fall. I actually asked this in another thread but I had the crazy idea to put my DVR on a less-watch TV and put just a STB on my primary TV, that way I could watch one show at the primary TV while the DVR in the other room was recording two. I might still try this, depending on what shows I get interested in this coming fall season. Having multiple tuners can be a problem though, because then as someone said you have to have the time to watch all of that recorded content.

?..and you could even use the remote app on a tablet or pc to program the dvr's, never having to leave the room,'
