Re: [All] New England Weather

We had a couple of pretty striking sunny/blue-sky downpours this afternoon, but I didn't notice any thunder, lightning, hail or wind.

You wouldn't think there would so much energy in the atmosphere with this cool weather!

I'm telling you for a few minutes it went pitch black, the wind was bending thin trees in almost half, hail the size of dimes and nickels was pounding on the house, and torrential rains overwhelmed my gutters to the point that water was just pouring right over the sides in torrents.

It slowed down after about 5 minutes and then was gone in another 10 or so. It was the most powerful, quick burst of wild weather I've ever seen... and that's not an overstatement. It was just crazy for a few minutes!!
