While I am quite cynical about FIOS channel adds as well, there are "must carry" laws that the cable companies have to comply with for local channels. |

But does "must carry" apply to HD? I assume carrying the SD feed satisfies the "must carry" requirement. |

It would be nice to see ALL of the Rangers, Devils, Islanders, Knicks and Brooklyn Nets games in HD once the seasons commence. IIRC, the plan was to get the remaining channel(s) added, no? |

true but cable companies can downconvert hd feeds if they have bandwith constraints. for example time warner downconverts must carry njtv here in nyc. they carry njtv in sd only even though he channel broadcasts in hd. |

Nets are a YES network property, not MSG. |

They were added months ago. Channels 578 through 581. |
