 | Cell phone MHZ Question Hello. I am an extreme newbie, so please respond accordingly!
We are moving to Grenada and I'm trying to figure out if I can use my cell phone from here, Canada. I sort of understand the different frequencies, but not entirely.
One provider, Digicel operates on a 900/1800 MHZ network. Does that mean that they use both of these frequencies?
The only other provider, Lime, uses 850 MHZ. Is it not as good because it only uses one?
My current dinosaur phone is a Samsung m300 and it's GSM 900/1800/1900. Will I be able to use this with Digicel, providing I get it unlocked?
I already have a SIM card for Grenada.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I really want to understand this stuff and not just be told "yes" or "no". |

Of course they may not let you bring your own phone, but since it's SIM card based...Buy their least expensive phone and swap SIM cards. |
