Cox data cap enforcement in DC metro area

I was wondering how strictly Cox did this. I went over my 200 GB cap last month by like 60 GB, and nothing happened. I thought that since this was the first time in 6 years I exceeded the cap, maybe Cox just let it slide. What have others' experiences been with data cap enforcement?

Depends on if you were affecting others.

Ive gone over my cap every month by a couple hundred gigs since I have had cox. They wont do anything if you go over your cap unless your node is already overloaded or you are causing load issues on your node so to speak. And by them doing something they will send you a letter asking you to tone it down, if you keep going over they may force you to up your speed package or even go with a business line as they don't have caps.
