Wow, I thought it was just me (in Tampa. FL area, VH02 I believe). Its been doing it every day upon first start up of the day since Friday. But I asked my sister (who lives a few towns over, so different CO but same VH02) and she has NOT had the problem. It still seems to record properly even when there's a recording going on when I first power up for the day and get the "update" screen.
Oh well, if Vz knows about it and says they are working on it there not much else we can do!

Township Of Washington, NJ | I had the same thing on one of the 7100-2 STBs on VHO7 on Friday.
Turned it on and got the Software Update screen. |
