I found more info on the maintainance profile...what it does is set your speed to a maximum of 40Mbps(down) and the modem will sync at whatever rate it feels comfortable at. So if your line can only sustain 19Mbps (due to distance, line issues) then it will stay there thus you get stability. However, the maintainance profile is considered a temp fix for troubleshooting and if Bell comes across someone on this profile they try to get them back to where they were before.(Eagle)

No... maintenance profile is like Interleave for ADSL.

In fact there's no 40Mbps profile...
