Thanks nycdave for the update! |

1 edit | Well So far it looks fixed I will update you after a few hours. If it is fixed thanks NYCdave you are a great ally to have. |

 | reply to SL83 NYCDave why does Verizon only want there speed test done. I now know for a fact that theres are not accurate being that now that you fixed the problem all the speed test sites are giving me the accurate results not just Verizon's. |

 | Well for me at least I have some bad news right after NYCdave said it was fixed I checked and started using my computer It seemed to be working faster but then after a few minutes and after about 5 speed-tests that came out normal I tried an internet video and again I saw the buffering.. I then stopped the video and ran another speed test and guess what it went back to random numbers as well as low quality of service I keep getting warnings that my internet cannot handle a constant stream of data. I have a tech coming out tomorrow that I'm hoping will be able to fix this but I also contacted NYCdave to look into my account if possible. I am interested in seeing if SL83's service is working like it should and also incognito_2u. |

Right up front, he said that he has heard of this problem before ....something they are aware of and watching.....He replaced the router again and he also replaced the ONT (both just to be safe if this issues continues) Further, he is going to inform his supervisor of this complaint.
These are my test results:

For what it's worth, my pages are definitelly faster, video's stream well, and all seem's good for now.

In a traceroute, the only thing you should really focus on is the last hop. It wouldn't matter if every hop in the intermediate path returned no results, so long as the destination host does-- and does so with consistency and latency commensurate with distance in the physical path.
With 2000+ packets sent, best ping of 5ms and worst of 13ms, things are pretty much spot-on. Nothing I see in your trace causes me any concern whatsoever. |
