Yeah, I’m looking forward to it. Looking at the 4 min trailer I can see that they have diverged from the book somewhat but that’s nothing new. So there will clearly be some surprises even if you are somewhat familiar with the storyline from the books.
Without giving anything specific away (even if spoilers are in the title) I’ll just say that “The Walking Dead” reminds me a little of “Game of Thrones”, in that time is often spent on building up characters only to result in a quick and unsavory demise. In other words, $#!t happens,…. |

Glendale, AZ | Yeah, season 2 had problems for several reasons:
- Kicked Frank Darabont off the show he built
- Stole their budget and gave it to P.O.S. Mad Men
- Increased the number of episodes, thus increasing the amount of "filler" in the episodes...
Season 3 has nowhere to go but up in terms of story, this is where the comics started getting really good. I think it will get better in spite of AMC's attempts to screw the pooch.
Darabont's firing will backfire on AMC though, since he's working on LA Noir.... which is a story for another thread.

Exactly the reason why i stopped watching/reading the Game of Thrones series 
Nothing like getting your heart crushed when you start warming up to a character and then they all of a sudden get dismembered/decapitated/disemboweled and the like :| |

But wait, does that mean you’re not going to watch the Walking Dead,…..?
Personally I can’t wait to start watching the new season of the Walking Dead and I am all caught up on the book. I think issue 103 comes out October 17th. I started buying issues on the iPad rather then the paperback volumes.
There is some really sick stuff coming up folks, really sick,…..not sure how or if they can adequately deal with it on TV though.
