Upstream and caps?Great downstream isn't all that great if you're stuck with a measly 10 or 20 Mbps upstream. Also, something FiOS has a huge advantage is no caps. Cable has a lot of headroom in it to be competitive with fiber but it requires a lot of changes. Firstly, television streams need to have better compression, either fully switch to mpeg4 or h.265 (High Efficiency Video Coding).
This is only competitive if it includes two things: 1. No caps 2. The same or more upstream over FiOS |
