Nope, Linux is nowhere even close to be ready to be "desktop" ready. Everyone knows Microsoft. 90% of everyone uses the same old Microsoft software they know for years - Office, QuickBooks, Quicken, etc. Products that are supported under Windows could not be supported under Linux. If any - Mac OS X is better than Linux in support.

And another clueless Windows poster chimes in. When you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't be posting. Yes, I notice you are a strong Windows and Microsoft supporter so I'm not surprised you're showing your ill-informed, baseless opinions here.

Okay.

Install iTunes for Linux to update your shitty iphones/ipads then.

Ah, the typical Windows user response. Use an example of an application not written for Linux as proof Linux is a bad OS. Does this mean I can call up some Linux program as proof that Windows is a bad OS?

I forgot to add that it's funny how you claim OSX has better support for programs than Linux yet OSX and Linux are both Unix (essentially). How can you claim one gives better support than the other when they can run the same code?! (Yes, I'm ignoring ABI and other interface modifications that would need to be made.)

Not being unfriendly. Responding in kind to offensive, uninformed statements, whether intended or not.

Sure.

DRM is the problem with Linux.

OS X are mostly closed source while Linux is all open source.

Regardless of uninformed statements it brings interest to the Linux world. We may not be as tech savvy as you are, but at least we're trying by showing interest in the development of free and open source Operating Systems as an alternative "escape Microsoft" instead of using Windows. Instead of ridiculing people it would be better to help us.
