 | [Rant] NFL on Fox and why I will NEVER watch another game So I was watching the Seahawks @ Cardinals game this afternoon. Seahawks lost, probably shouldn't be all that surprised. What really ticked me off though was that the announcers were so soft I had to turn my TV up to nearly full volume just to hear them on most plays. Excuse me, I thought I was watching an American Football game, not a golf match. Well, they have lost one viewer, permanently. -- Computer: Antec 850w PSU, ASUS M4A89GTDPRO-USB3, AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2GHZ, ATI Radeon 5770, SB XFI Fatal1ty, 8GB Kingston DDR3, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, KIS 2010, Samsung SyncMaster 2443BWX, Frontier DSL 768/128 w/ Westell 6100 C90 & Linksys WRT120N |

The volume issue you described may very well because of your service provider. I had no issues watching it on Fox 13. |

 | KCPQ (Q13) by chance? |
|
shanerPremium join:2000-10-04 Calgary, AB | Yes. That's the Fox station broadcast here in Calgary. |
|
 | KCPQ broadcasts from Seattle, WA. That is the same station I was watching. I know it's common for the Seattle stations to get as far as Victoria, BC and Vancouver, BC but I didn't know they went into Alberta. Cable or Satellite? Also, which provider? |

 | Using the built in speakers on a JVC SD set. I do not have any sort of external speakers attached to this TV. This was not even in relation to other sounds (the refs and crowd noise also sounded too soft). The game prior to Seahawks @ Cardinals sounded fine. All other channels (including KOMO, KING, KCTS, KBTC, and KIRO) sounded fine. |

| reply to wolfy339 I have a similar issue with OTA WMAZ in Macon GA. Low sound, picture fine, all other channels work fine for both picture and sound. The station engineer and manager will be sent an e-mail about it. I would advise you to do the same. Sometimes the sound equipment is set wrong and they do not notice because they can hear it fine at the station. A lot of stations are trying updated sound equipment to meet the new regulations meant for advertising commercials to not blast you with massive increased sound levels compared to the content or show you are watching. The controls and settings are very complicated to master, so they get it wrong sometimes. |

 | reply to wolfy339 I did notice the difference in the volume. I am in the Tacoma Wa area. WE have the same channel here KCPQ. -- Caddy |

 | reply to wolfy339 Watch the RedZone Channel. You'll be much happier. |
|
 | Redzone is not available to me. |

 | reply to Caddyroger @Caddyroger: I checked the channel lineup on Telus, looks like the have KCPQ as well (listed in their channel lineup as FOX-Seattle).
@footballdude: what do you know, comcrap actually has that channel. |

(If he really is that bad, I will take Steve Raible any day) Son of Jack Buck, hall of fame baseball announcer. Joe is the lead sports announcer on Fox, for both baseball and football.
