Re: Microsoft Security Bulletin(s) for September 11 2012

Thanks.

FWIW, I ran update manually and got only two things:

Update Rollup for ActiveX Killbits for Windows XP (KB2736233)
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - September 2012 (KB890830)

This is on XP SP3. I think everyone will get the MSRT, and XP users will get the rollup as well. I am happy for a quiet day of updates.

I got this too, but was that even listed in MS bulletins? I wasn't expecting that one. I also got updated e-mail filters for Outlook 2007 SR-3.

I don't think the ActiveX Killbits rollup was in the bulletin, but maybe it is such a regular update that they don't bother to announce it. It showed up on all the Win 7 Pro 64-bit systems, too. Two of the Win 7 systems got five updates and another (a laptop) got three. I think I got the count right. I'm not counting optional updates. The ones listed for the five updates match Romney2012's list (also got the optional MSE definition update, as well).
