| Cablevision announced that all boxes, SA & Samsung, are going to to move to the Onyx platform eventually. SA boxes will not get the current Samsung interface, but will get the newer one when it is available. |

unless there is some post-processing in the boxes (there is a scaler but there doesnt appear to be anything else), there shouldnt be any difference when using HDMI.
i think you may be stuck on the brand name which is obviously synonymous with the televisions. (you more than likely are using a samsung tv)

I think the same thing and I'm using component cables since my 2004 Dell HDTV doesn't have HDMI. |
