Re: Boy in chains appears at door

Once again, I will sigh with another news post without commentary or opinion or discussion start-off point. Any monkey can continually post news items, but to actually do it, that seems to insinuate we are incapable of trolling the news ourselves .

Since the poster is devoid of thought, I will at least comment that what irks me is that the probable leader of this sick duo was NOT IN CUSTODY and yet charged with sexual offences involving young boys and due in court shortly. DO I SMELL something rotten here or WHAT!!!

Cuz of course that is what would happen.
We need to hold a prayer party to prevent it because a soft judge will say you two men who raped a boy and had him chained up for weeks just need some love in your lives.

That's how it works.

CTV's National News with Lisa LaFlame has this as the top story...

One of the suspects David LeBlanc already has a charge of child pornography with a history of sex crimes....

There's a video at the CBC News site...

It gets worse...both the accussed Wayne Alan Cunningham and David LeBlanc have criminal records...

quote:
Both accused have criminal records.

They were convicted in Bridgewater in November 2006 of theft, breaking and entering, fraud, forgery and possession of stolen property.

Wayne Alan Cunningham was convicted of theft in 2006 along with David Leblanc. (RCMP)
David James Leblanc currently faces charges of making and distributing child pornography, sexual assault and sexual interference involving two boys aged two and five.

The allegations span several months and communities: July 5, 2010, in Dartmouth; June 1-Aug. 31, 2010, in Liverpool; Sept. 1-Dec. 1, 2010, in Lequille, Annapolis County.

The conditions of his release include that he must stay away from the internet, children and the communities of Liverpool and Lequille.

He's scheduled to be in court for those charges Nov. 26.

I'm in favor of life sentences (dangerous offender status) for child kidnappers and pornographers, how about you guys?

Anyone that sexually abuses a child or kidnaps a child with the intent to sexually abuse a child, yes, they need to be locked up and the key needs to be thrown away. I fully endorse "rot in prison".

Creating pornography, falls under the first one.

Viewing it without the intent to engage in the acts... I'm on the fence here as the private in-home viewing of the content may prevent a person from acting out their desires. A man beats off to regular porn, he's good for a while... can the same be said for potential exploiters of children? I don't know.

Maybe it's like video games, where I can play a game like Grand Theft Auto and mow down a pile of people and shoot them to death, but I'd never do that in 'real life'.

The boy who was held captive has told police he was literally snatched off of the streets of Halifax by these punks...

He woke up in a van and was taken to a house where he was sexually abused. The teenager told police his abductors had plans of "selling him"....

I thought crap like this only happened in B grade horror movies...

On the radio it is reported they maybe in Ontario so keep an eye out for NS plates...

quote:
Leblanc says one is a grey 2003 Hyundai Elantra with a Nova Scotia licence plate of FBP 233.

He says the second is a brown 2002 Chevrolet Venture van with a Nova Scotia licence plate of EZG 581.

Lets hope and pray these creeps get apprehended before they harm someone else... Looks like the Justice system once again has failed Canadians...

I heard it discussed on CBC Radio, it's pretty crazy that this one guy has a court case tied up right now that involves a 2 year old and a 5 year old boy... meanwhile he can victimize a 16 year old.

According to the news, the 16 year old was too scared to talk to people or escape because they threatened to hurt his family.

Yup...this is getting national coverage... Apparently even CNN and other news media are reporting on this according to our local radio...

A very sad way for Nova Scotia to get media attention....

Yes, but whose kids do you sign up to make the porn? I get what you're saying, but when you allow the viewing of it without consequences, you create the market demand for it.

I didn't consider the making of it, only the fact that it's 'out there'... you have a good point.

Prosecuting the "demand" side doesn't really work. The drug war taught us that. Besides, if I stumble onto an awful website and accidentally download something illegal, I'm going to jail for life? That's ripe for abuse.

It certainly works with a large enough sample set of a user's online activities to form a psychological profile. People don't 'stumble' onto the same images using specific keywords in the search engine or requesting certain .torrent files.
