BTW with the progression of tiller union rep you get more seed beds honored +4 revered +4 again (total 12) exalted +4 (total 16) Also at honored you can buy a item from the QM that adds the sprinkeler you see in the pic and at revered you can buy the pest control thing (the little gold thing in the middle (you can see 2 of it in the pic) you do have to do a little quest to open each additional set of 4 up |

thanks for the pic! I love this side stuff... but what i love the most is how blizz made it relevant to the rest of the game. Not Mandatory... but relevant. very cool. |

I agree Immer. Plus, I'd much rather be able to grow 4/8/12/16x5 of whatever vegetable i need for my feast/food instead of killing mobs for it - and they don't drop a whole lot. Plus you can eventually grow Motes of Harmony - 1 per plant, so eventually you could grow 1.6 Spirits per day. Since GC said they'd probably be BoA "eventually", you could potentially grow 17.6 Spirits of Harmony per day. And then feed them to your tailor and make the 28 slots bags and cash in. Or buy Golden Lotus (3 for 1 spirit) instead of trying to grow a plant that has a chance of having Golden Lotus.
The Songbell seeds are purchasable at revered with Tillers. |

For now I'm growing plants for the feasts.
2 ways down 4 to go, then to learn the panda feasts.
Currently I can make all 12 of the ways feasts but I need to make them al a few times to skill up the ways to complete the "to be a master" quest and then buy the panda feasts
btw from some testing (from the great panda feast that dropped from the golden lotus dailies)
If the stat that the feast gives you is the stat from that way you get 275 (ie casters that get intel will get 275 from the way of the pot feast)
but the panda feast still only gives 275 even if you have your way maxed, (ie a mage will get 275 intel from ether the way of the pot feast or the panda feast)
but the best food from the way of the pot will give 300 intel
wheather way skill has an effect needs more testing. |

The different Way feasts basically just give +275 to its specific stat, and +250 to all others. +415/375 stamina for tanks. The Pandaren Banquets give 275/415 to all stats. The best food is just for the individual, and grants +300/450. |

I'm thinking it'll just be making the panda feast so all get 275 or 415stam
because the mats for the 300's are about as annoying as the mats for the feasts |

Actually you don't need cooking as you don't have to be the one that makes the dishes just get someone else to make some stacks of the food and then turn in 5 of each per day. |

Just wait until the Thanksgiving world event and level cooking than. You can get to 525 just off of the receipes from that event. I have 6 of my 11 toons maxed on cooking and all but one of those were done during the event. |

or if you go to the lady that gives you the intro quest to get Zen Master cooking, you can practically level on the spot.
Just need 40x-42 Golden Carp and 5x Wildfowl...
I did this with 4 of my toons. |

Is this almost a mini Farmville type thing? Where you have your own plot of land and grow things on it - and does it remain yours through logouts, and what you've planted keeps growing when you're not logged in?
I've not purchased Thang yet... |

you do have to do a little quest to open each additional set of 4 up hmm..I have both the watering can and bug sprayer and I'm not revered (you ask the NPC standing there and he points them out to you - they are on the ground near him). |

No not the ones in your bags the ones that you don't have to have in your bags see the barrels to the left and the golden thingy in the middle The watering can only waters 1 plant at a time, the sprinkler waters one side at a time (ie upto 8 seed beds) and the pest control thing takes care of infested plants for the whole side (ie 8) so with the two you don't need to pickup the watering can or bug spray at all anymore (plus you get some rep for doing the little quests that add the items) |

Then at exalted there's a plow that can presumably till a whole side at a time. |

said by DarkLogix:Then at exalted there's a plow that can presumably till a whole side at a time. What it does is plow 4 plots in a straight line at once - no need to individually till each plot. So, at exalted, (you need to have removed the huge mossy boulder first before you can buy it), you can do all 16 plots in 4 passes. |

I expect at exalted they'll offer a quest to remove the boulder. and then you can buy the plow.
with those 3 you can plow faster, kill bugs faster and water faster. still gotta do the weeds though. |

I haven't paid much attention to this aspect of the game besides the initial quests that open up these dailies so forgive me if this is a noob question. How do i gain rep here? Do i turn in cooked items to each respective way? Right now i have white question marks over their heads so i'm assuming i need to produce a quest item to complete the quest correct?
Thanks for the map above. This will really help. |
|
|
First, you need to be level 90. |

1. get to 90. 2. do dailies
optional cook the food for the NPC's as listed in the pic in the OP (that will get you some rep for the NPC's themselves aswell as valor and coins of fortune.
From time to time it'll give you a NPC's vote quest those will really help with rep for the NPC. |

Thank you. I wasn't aware you had to be 90 first. |

Ya dailies aren't available till 90, and the few that are won't grant any rep. |

And you can do that on all your toons, so one farm per toon = tons of crops to pick every day..
say my 86 is growing 4 sets of carrots and send them to my main for the dailies, and my main can harvest other things like motes of harmony instead..
IDK what's the scarecrow for? I place it and the bird still comes.. LOL |
|
DarkLogixTexan and Proud Premium Member join:2008-10-23 Baytown, TX |
The QM's scarecrow is IMO just a flavor item.
ya if/when I have an alt at 90 that's what I plan to do.
Then I can get the food for the feast faster. |

I just started working on the Tiller's dailies. They are quite a bit of fun, I enjoy all the little comedy bits with pulling out weeds and dealing with aggressive rabbits. I've been growing Mogu pumpkins, hoping to get a bigger field soon. I can only grown 20 at a time, I need 25 per feast |

Don't worry once you hit honored you'll be able to open up the 2nd set of 4. |
