I wouldn't worry too much. I hear that Randal will make an announcement Nov 7th to push 4G to 30kft loops in Uverse areas as a service solution and that he plans to unload the nonUverse areas for someone else to worry about. The copper is going to die one way or the other, even if Randal has to help it along.
I don't know about the Nov 7th date, but that announcement is undoubtedly on his official bucket list. -- We can never have enough of nature. We need to witness our own limits transgressed, and some life pasturing freely where we never wander.
