Ubuntu 12.04 Canonical Partners repo

The Canonical Partners repos are disables by default. Why is this, and is there any down side to turning them on?

If I'm reading Muon right, the only packages I have from there are adobe-flash packages. Here's what I see as in the repo: Adobe, Centrify Express, some DB2 stuff, eucalyptus (Elastic Utility Cloud Architecture, gstremer fluendo, skype, and vmware view client. That's it.

I think I enabled it when I read on some hit that the better flash was in it.

Politics/Ideals regarding licensing, open source, etc. (freedom)
