cloud 9 | So, if I understand correctly, I should replace the ROM, before I root it. I thought you had to root before you could replace the ROM.

cloud 9 | Naw that doesn't work. I found the download, but it fails, not for CDMA anyway; and the system needs to be rooted first. Doesn't make any sense.
I think the latest version of Gingerbread has it really locked down. All these guides are a little dated. I'll bet Samsung plugged these vulnerabilities. Now I'm looking for a way to take it back to stock Froyo, and then I'll try from there.
