Oh I do............was talking about A-ROID...........not Jeter.

He's actually the only player on that team that I respect.

Hey, A-ROID did get a 2 out single in he 9th... he tried!

But how about that blown call in the 8th... That ump needs to be fired... The detroit player was out by a mile.

Blind yes, but that play was nor relevant as the yankees never scored. Now the Yanks have face Verlander in game three. Any thing can happen, but the Tanks have a mighty hill to climb if Verlander brings his A game,to avoid being down three.

After grazing the information about Hall of Fame Shortstops, I will have to go with Joe Cronin

Biography:
Joe Cronin was the American League's All-Star shortstop seven times and its MVP in 1930 when he hit .346 with 126 RBIs. The jovial, square-jawed Irishman possessed the determination and toughness to become a wizard with the glove and a powerhouse at bat. He topped the .300 mark eight times and also enjoyed eight 100-RBI seasons. At age 27, Cronin won the 1933 pennant as a rookie manager with Washington before he was traded to the Red Sox. He later served two terms as American League president.

Well, Detroit was up 1-0 before that call, so it didn't effect the final score. Tigers would have won anyway.

That's not how it works.... Trailing 1-0 is different than trailing 3-0. Manager could have pinch hit, the closer would be under more pressure not to give up just 1 run to tie, etc etc...

Yet trailing 3-0 seems similar to trailing 4-0 and then getting 4 runs in the 9th inning.

Fact is, the Tigers won with our without the bad call.

Exacaty except the Yankess make a huge deal about the calls (which they should to some extent) and they should move on with their lives and try to win the game!!!
