Re: Bell Usage Meter counting LAN data? yes the bandwidth meter is counting upload and download. one of the items that stands out from my previous month would be that I downloaded a 5GB file FROM THE INTERNET and then transfered it from that PC to another in my house. How is it that Bell should be able to charge me for the internal transfer, I don't know?
I dont know how it is calculating the usage up/down, but when I get home later this week I will be all over this like a spider monkey. I will track usage and transfer of large internal files and see what I can confirm. If I screwed something up, I will be the first to admit it. But like I have said, I know what my usage is and this just isn't what is being reported..... -- Pat2k8@yahoo.caBurlington, Ontario. |

"...like a spider monkey..." I'm not saying your crazy... but to conclude Bell is counting LAN while your friends barely streamed 300mb... is pretty much a wild assumption. |

1 edit | reply to kovy I'm also assuming it's wildly exaggerating LAN B/W too. The reporting is broken, hopelessly so... not out of the realm of possibilities for it to times it by 100 or a MILLION. It's not the users, it's the Ghost in da MACHINE that's phoqued. |

If 2 users are reporting the same reading on the same day, there might something fishy. But LAN counting... |
|
 | I don't care what it says for LAN. It can be 1X or 100000000X, it's NOT supposed to count that. And since its screwed, of course it can 1000X it, it's broken and Bell is making the users pay for its broken reporting. |
