Sometimes the update is not desired, but the current state of the app is. I resisted updating radio.com for months, but I finally got tired of the stupid fucking "1" on the App Store. I updated it, and I think it was a mistake.

Perfect example is the DirecTv app. Worked fine on my jailbroken device, latest update detects the jailbreak.
