Because a lot of the time it is just fluff or a tiny minor code change, which could have easily been rolled together and pushed out, say, once a month in a package rather than 14 updates in a month (which I have seen happen). This creates the red badge icon whenever there is an update (at least one a day) which just annoys me. |
