Your DSNR is a little low, but that's what happens when it rains. Your download speed looks good, upload OK but maybe a little slow. Check the DSNR when it's clear. Depends where you are in the beam but it probably should be anywhere from 8.5 to 11.5 when it's clear.

Rx Power: -44.8 dBm (weak)

Rx SNR: 5.1 dB (bad)

Cable Resistance: 0.5 Ohms (excellent)

Cable Attenuation 3.0 dB (could be better)

Tx IF Power: -31.6dBm (low power)

Tx RF Power: 33.6dBm (normal)

There is a big gain between Tx IF power and Tx RF power of 3.3 million. When your weather is clear, check your status again. Your Rx SNR needs to be higher.

What are the acceptable (recommended) parameters for each of those stats? I just got WildBlue. The tech support told me that I might need re-pointing but wouldn't tell me exactly what wasn't right and I didn't know how to check the stats myself until I looked it up online. My installer told me to never try to view the modem's page because it could mess things up. That seemed bogus to me, but I didn't argue with him.

Anyway, My stats:
Rx Power: -45.9 dBm

Rx SNR: 6.9 dB

ODU Telemetry status: Active

Cable Resistance: 3.0 Ohms

Cable Attenuation 13.9 dB

Tx IF Power: -26.0dBm

Tx RF Power: 32.5dBm

Temperature: 30 °C

Earlier the rx snr was 5.9 and someone told me that was bad. So 8 to 11 or so is the normal range?

Would you be willing to list the recommended stats please?

stats look ok but its all bout your speedtest and what you download speed is ?
my installer showed me how to set my tria and get a good signal cause he lives 60 miles away . he had to give me a code to realighn my signal it's not hard att all , I do not know if all tria codes are the same though .

To suceress,

Rx Power: -45.9 dBm (ok)
Rx SNR: 6.9 dB (should be better)
Cable Resistance: 3.0 Ohms (better if lower)
Cable Attenuation 13.9 dB (bad, too much signal loss)
Tx IF Power: -26.0dBm (2.5 uW, TRIA gain 712,000)
Tx RF Power: 32.5dBm (1.78 W seems a bit low)

If your Rx SNR is varying during sunny, stable weather, then maybe your dish needs to be mounted more firmly. My guess is that you need to investigate the cable attenuation and cable resistance.

How long is your coaxial cable?
Does your coaxial cable have a solid copper center conductor, or is it a steel conductor with copper cladding?
Are the F-connectors properly attached?

If you post the writing on your coaxial cable, we might be able to check its specifications for you.

Same here just got exede 12 installed earlier this month
Need to know if these are good numbers. The installer came in a
Direct TV van and used white coax, about 25' in length. He didn't install a ground cable. Just wondering what could be causing these low numbers.Cable att was 6.5dB before i put a ground cable on myself.

Modem State:
Rx Power: -42.5 dBm Rx SNR: 11.0 dB
Cable Resistance: 0.5 Ohms Cable Attenuation 3.0 dB
Tria Status:
Tx IF Power: -23.5dBm Tx RF Power: 31.9dBm
Temperature: 40 °C
Doing it myself i was able to get SNR up to 15.6dB i backed it down to 11 wasn't sure sence others had it at 11.if higher
Signal to Noise Ratio is better i might raise it back to 15.6 .Firgured i would ask here first.

Rx Power looks good.

Cable resistance of .5 ohms is great.

Cable Attenuation of 3.0 dB means that the signal is reduced to 50% across the coaxial cable. For a 25 feet long cable I would think it ought to be reduced by less. If your speeds are fast, then do not mess with it.

A Rx SNR of 11 dB is great because it is 8% noise and 92% signal. You do not need to fiddle with it. The higher the value for Rx SNR measured in dB, the better. On the legacy Wildblue systems the specification was 13 dB or higher (5% noise or less).

Tx IF power = -23.5 dBm = 4.47 uW
Tx RF power = 31.9 dBm = 1.55 W (gain 347,000)
Not over-powering the transmitter. Suggests great dish alignment. Looks good.

It is wise to ground the dish and shield of the coaxial cable. The installer should have installed a grounding block.

don't have any trouble with wildblue just installer left alot to be desired on install. he got Rx SNR to 6dB then said ok your set and he left. still waiting on the paperwork from the install.

Yes, an Rx SNR of 6 dB (20% noise, 80% signal) is not very good. I'm glad you improved it.

Check both Rx SNR and Tx RF Power..object being to get lower Tx RF Power value while getting a high Rx SNR value.

Stats really don't matter as long as you are connected, the question is. Can your get access to your log-in secure sites? If not it doesn't matter how fast or slow you are
