Kentucky ETA??

I was wonder when kentucky ever going be fix because i'm getting issue over here the past 3 month it not been fix. Ping is to high and speed is sucks. I do not know why upload speed is good which is noraml vs download speed.

I woke up 4:30 am get ready go work, I just notice right way my interent was down all night after I post it on here. I don't know what time it went down, I unhook the modem wait 5 mins then I plug it up it works again. Is there ETA when my DSLAM be fix or is there network issue in part of west Kentucky??!?

Ignore the ETA I don't know why I wrote it I thought it help to solve it. If you waiting on a repair go talk to Aaron, Larissa, other they can help you..

There are several ETA's depending on what equipment you are associated to. Unfortunately I am not familiar with your issues so I can not present an accurate answer.

My ETA is set by the end of November, but Don't count on it.
I've had too many ETA's.

I spoke to Larissa and this is where we are, no punches pulled. To finish your upgrade we are only waiting on a MOP to be performed (essentially a software upgrade and test). All of the hardware is in place, and was turned up. A problem arose when we tried to move NSP customers (wholesale/resale customers) to the equipment. These NSP customers only use a part of our network then flow on to the network of whatever company they pay there bill to. There was a provisioning issue that kept the NSP customers from working properly, in the end would have impacted all other customers on that equipment. We are in the process of writing and re-running a MOP that will correct the issue and allow us to move all the customers to the new equipment. As this is one of the very last steps in the upgrade/repair process, I believe your ETR to be very accurate. I can understand your hesitation to believe us, but this is where we are and what we are doing to resolve the situation. The end of November is accurate. Larissa has been working VERY hard on your issue, and has not been cutting the engineers any slack.

Jin,

Aaron just [unintentionally] gave you some good info. It seems customers of wholesale ISPs are treated a lot better because their ISPs pay Windstream a lot more money to get their customers aggregated (over L2TP) to their own B-RAS'.

Well I'm not too far from you (Edmonson co.) and my latest ETA is the first of this month (Nov). I'm not expecting it get fixed because the ETA has been pushed back a few times already.

Ive had issues since around May and finally posted a complaint in the Windstream Direct forum about it the first part of July.

I was told there was utilization issues with my DSLAM and they were in the process of installing a new fiber fed DSLAM for additional bandwidth. Sounded great to me since I should have faster tier speeds available and it would just get the connection stable. Well now things are worse than they were and I'm on like my 4th ETA fix since Aug.

Like I said eariler I'm not expecting it get fixed because the ETA has been pushed back a few times already, so if it does get fixed this time you count me as suprised.

This ETA thing constantly changing is getting to be a bit much. I pay for a decent connection every month. Every month my connection gets worse. I ask for help, I get an ETA. ETA comes and goes...connection is worse! I am given another ETA... after waiting for months... and it's now an ETA for next year!

If I had another choice I would take it soo quickly. I am paying for 12meg and am lucky to have 1meg most of the time now.

I wonder... when the repair is finally complete, will my connection work like it used to before this disaster?

I used to get what I paid for easily, no problems.
