| This FAQ is probably old: »helpdesk.malwarebytes.org/entrie···-malware Best bet would be to post a query at the MBAM Forum.
Would be interested in knowing, as well, as many will be rolling out Win 8 shortly or already have that are MSDN and TechNet subscribers. |

| reply to KoRnGtL15 It's probably vetted but you can't be too sure.
A developer from Estonia posted me this at Wilders
»www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/···sid=win8
Short of asking the MBAM folks directly, that's all I have. |

Elite join:2002-10-03 Orange, CT | reply to KoRnGtL15 I would guess that they'll probably both be updated eventually. Win 8 x64 will require digitally signed drivers (As does Vista and 7 x64), so the devs will have to do this before anything else.
Otherwise, I doubt you'll run into too many Windows 8 x64 rootkits in the next few weeks, plus you've got Windows Defender (MSE re-badged, or maybe the other way around). -- QUAD!!!! |

1 edit | reply to CovMac Got same results for MBAM • »www.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/···sid=win8
• Findings results too unbalanced and unreliable Check with Software Vendor & Or Forum. For those moving to Windows 8, this must be a total PITA. |

Specifically for the 64 bit version? As with the bad guys, they may not have any major development to do at the outset. On the desktop side, this is a "minor version" release -- NT 6.1 to NT 6.2. It would impact some areas, but I'm guessing a lot of people/orgs are going to be watching the adoption rate (see NT 6.0) before deciding on adding new work onto their existing pile. |

KoRnGtL15Premium join:2007-01-04 Grants Pass, OR | reply to siljaline Why don't they just state it some where on their website or announce it supports Windows 8? |

siljalineI'm lovin' that double widePremium join:2002-10-12 Montreal, QC kudos:17 | I really wish they would as many are moving to Windows 8. It's fairly discouraging at this point in time. If I was going to Win 8 and had MBAM Pro, I would want to know if my software was compatible short of looking at a database. |

KoRnGtL15Premium join:2007-01-04 Grants Pass, OR | »forums.malwarebytes.org/index.ph···c=118039 Its not really official. These are just random people that have used it with Windows 8. That is why I guess you are not seeing it on their website. |

We do not officially support Windows 8 at this time. We've not yet completed the extensive testing we would require to state official support for the new operating system. |
