$10.99 per 24 exposures, 35mm film at Walgreen's.

Thanks, I guess I could have looked that up. I just figured someone would know. At those rates I would spend anywhere from $500-$600 on developing a year, not counting the cost of buying the film.

That works out to be about 50 rolls a year.

Last year when I was in Sicily, I found a mega-load of Kodak ColorPlus at a tourist trap for approximately $3.25 a roll.

50 X 3.25 = $162.50

I wonder what the expiration date on that film is/was ?

Maybe but the cost of processing has really increased, in part because of inflation, but mostly because so few people shoot film.

Back in the day I used to pay about $3.25 for a roll of Fujichrome 36 exposures and about $4.50 to get it processed at a 3 hour lab. B&W was cheap because you could process it at home.
