Re: Question on phone wiring pricing

said by bdnhsv:

What do you think your time and your helper's time is worth, and how long do you think this is going to take you? If the customer isn't willing to pay you what you have to have to make a reasonable profit, then it isn't worth it to do the job. You've said you think you need a full day to terminate lines into the 66 block, and you have a lot of other work mentioned as well - so it sounds like it's maybe 2 days or more (but you'll have to figure out how many hours based on what you see when you look at the job site). Also, don't forget to figure out your costs for materials (conduit, brackets, cable, etc), and then determine how much you need to mark that up as well.

The customer is supplying the conduit and brackets. I am thinking to hang the conduit up will take a few hours and then the terminations wil take the longest.

Be Careful

@charter.com

Walk away from the job you don't know what you are doing and may get yourself or your helper hurt!
