 | Mr. Clean Yes, the Mr. Clean that is used on floors my roommate is using to wash clothes with. Googling but not able to find the right, so I wanted to know (here) if it's safe to use in a top-loading washing machine (still googling while writing). -- Illegal aliens have always been a problem in the United States. Appears bad for the eyes and skin.. I would also say bad for a washing machine if that is what your roommate uses. Also see recommended ways for disposal. |

But ya.. the smell... he would smell like a janitor. |

| reply to Boricua65 Mr. Clean contains a petroleum based solvent to cut grease. Difficult to rinse out of clothing. May damage some fabrics. Many cleaning products include solvents. If there is a stench use tide with febreze. There are some laundry detergents that are designed to remove grease from clothing without damaging fabric or leaving a residue.

So, kinda like dry-cleaning?
Doesn't sound like the best laundry soap tho. Is it actually cheaper or what? I wouldn't have thought so. From the MSDS sheet posted it doesn't sound too bad....everything is a mild irritant (Visine is an mild eye and skin irritant too).
I've used a shampoo/bodywash for everything (laundry and dishes by hand) before, but that was a pretty mild detergent.
Does it clean the clothes? Do they smell? I think it would be ok if those 2 questions aren't a problem.
I am not a clothes cleaning expert (ha, not even close) so don't blame me if it turns the clothes pink with ponies on em or they dissapear into a void in space..... |

Kind of like putting regular dish soap in a dish washer (don't do it!). when i worked in a commercial kitchen that was our favorite practical joke , pink dish soap in the C-line dishwasher... you should see how it made dishwashers run! |
