[HSI] Login for Cisco DPC3008 to see Logs and Detailed statsAnyone know the username and password for the Cisco DPC3008 D3 modem? To see the modem logs and more details about the connection status? |

Am I the only one who has this modem??? |

I have a Ubee, but what have you tried so far?
I'd start with stuff like this...admin, admin; user,user; admin,(blank); user,(blank), etc. |
|
|
All the obvious have been tried.
just like on a UBEE its "admin" and "cableroot"...
something probably Charter had programmed in the firmware. |

I'd love to get this too.. I miss my old ubee modem where I could see all the error logs and stuff. This modem is nicer, but I don't like being locked out |

Just did a few searches for those, as I'm sure you have, and ALL results basically say it isn't possible anymore, unless you can get them from Charter, due to config files installed by ISP. |

thats because they do not want you to have the logs; so ya cant prove the problem is on there end. |

The restricted access has been pretty standard on Cisco modems.... which they inherited from Linksys (early Linksys were rebadged SA) and Scientific Atlanta which had similar default configuration. Look up DPX-110 They have 3 levels of diagnostic config access: full, limited, and none. Default config set it to limited. The ISP has to specify in the config file if they want something else, like full or none. If they didn't specify (as most don't) the access was left at limited. » Scientific-Atlants Admin page?» Adelphia High Speed Internet » FAQ: Accessing modem diagnosic screens. |

You could try docsisdiag and change the offending line that prevents access... |

I can't guarantee this will work but try 192.168.100.1 and chtruser and charter for it and see if that lets you in. |

Unhook the coax, power cycle the router then try accessing the router without it connected to Charter. I can access the logs and detailed stats that way on my DCP3010 without logging in. |

No go. A charter tech is coming out here Monday, I'll just ask him if he knows (surely). said by SebastianLee:Unhook the coax, power cycle the router then try accessing the router without it connected to Charter. I can access the logs and detailed stats that way on my DCP3010 without logging in. |

chtrtech / charter worked for mine just now!
thanks man |

Anyone else? None of these login's have worked.
Again, this is the Cisco DPC3008. the one Charter is currently providing. Been sorta laggy in the past few days (same thing i was experiencing earlier). Need to check out the modem logs.
There is no way to look at the DOCSIS logs without this login and password. Only want to see these logs, not to change anything (why would i screw up any settings?) |

Not sure of the major differences in the 3008 and the 3010. said by cryptic1911:Oh and just to clarify, I have a DPC3010, and the chtrtech / charter login worked for me |

On the DPC 3010 it works -- but still doesnt give any access to 'log data'. What happens if you leave everything blank and click "Login"? |

This worked for me on my DPC3008 but only gave me a logout button. |
|
|
Any "login info" provided that doesn't provide access to the modem logs really isn't a useful login, is it? |
