[TV] Ghost in my DVR

Okay I am about to give up on these DVRS. I have had 4 of them in this one particular room and each one starts acting up. I have had cisco, 8300, Samsung and now the Cisco. All in the same room with the same old problem. Last night I checked again and saw 4 shows were going to be recorded went into my other room and saw 4 shows there were going to be recorded (two were different as there was a conflict) So I start watching as its recording on that dvr and something told me to check the other. Sure enough one of the shows was NOT recording. I hit record and says there is a conflict on the next hour (this show was 2 hours ) I said do not schedule and go back into the other room to see which one I am recording so I may cancel it on the other. Go back to the first one and cancel the show in conflict and hit record now IT WILL NOT RECORD. No matter what I do it will not record. The thing is the one show I had canceled the day before had started recording which caused the conflict and therefore would not record the show I wanted. The other room worked perfectly. What do I have to do sit in front of the dvr each hour to make sure its going to record and record the right one even though the scheduled list shows one thing but it does what it wants. there has got to be a ghost in that room causing me to have more gray hair than I like. And this all started after the software upgrade. I don't think swapping out DVRs is the answer and the techs do not know what it is they just keep giving me the option to received a replacement dvr.

Swapping the DVR's will not solve the issue. I am looking into it.

I've had something similar happening recently in Orlando on my Brighthouse HD DVR. Shows are listed to record, but then do not record or show up in the Conflicts.

In addition, I had the same message about recording not allowed, and power cycled the DVR which did resolve the issue temporarily.

However, I continue to have issues with scheduled recordings not completing as they should.
