Re: [iO] New Guide Rollout

Have they resolved all the issues that halted the guide roll out before Sandy?

If they are waiting for LIPA to restore power then we may be waiting long time.

I thought reliable sources said the rollout would be complete by the third week of October. Barely anyone has the new guide. Just in spotty areas only.

Hmmm.

They thought it would, but then there was a major bug when they first released it, causing a halt on the rollout. Roll-out was just about starting up again when Sandy hit. Certain data centers have no power. Cablevision is focused on other things right now. Ergo, no new guide. Eventually the roll-out will recommence.

There was never a real "rollout". It was a test. Just like with the DVR+ system.

That was the plan from day one. Of course there is going to be bugs in the system. How do you think we test these things out?

Was watching yes network and the commercial starts off with showing new guide on iPad. Then goes on to say it will be available soon on all screens.

Oh, that vague ad. The fact you saw that ad on tv doesn't mean much. "All screens" can mean other tablet devices, they left it vague to imply/not imply the new guide for the set top boxes.

The "new guide" video has been up on the Explore Optimum channel 900 for months now, so it must mean set top boxes...eventually.

I just saw the ad and it sounds like the roll out will continue. the reference to screens means TV.
