One of my sisters up in Morris County still has the power out in her neighborhood. Funny thing is, last week they managed to get a small generator, enough to get lights and a space heater working in one room, and when they turned on the TV they had cable (CV) working. So they've got no regular electric service, no working furnace, but they can watch their regular shows.
I lost power for about three days, but when it came back on I had both CV TV and internet, without any problems.
The only thing I'm noticing now (past few days) are slower than normal upload speeds - don't know what's causing that:
It's more noticeable because the download speeds since I reconnected to the OOL service in the past couple of months have been much higher than they ever were when I last had the service a year ago.--
