VFG6005N - L2TP over ipSec with Mac OSX

Trying to VPN in to my home network using L2TP over ipSec.

When configuring IPSEC VPN on VFG6005N, there is no way to specify a user/password, which is required on the standard VPN Connection on Mac. I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

Thoughts?

I don't have this router, but looking at the manual »www.zyxel.com/us/en/uploads/imag···5-27.pdf page 51/52 you need to add users into "User Rule" table.

Thats awesome Brano, I would never have thought to look at the Users guide.

Actually the confusion lies in the fact that nobody proof-read the UG, as para 4 on page 52 which is supposed to reflect L2TP VPN, is an exact copy (and paste) from para 2 on page 50 covering PPTP.

On the router/firmware version that I have (same as on the Zyxel website), there is no Security->VPN/L2TP option, as is shown in the documentation.

It definitely looks like the latest docs don't reflect the latest firmware.
