[MN] Internet problems in southern MSP Metro area?

for about the past 4 days I've been seeing a higher than normal packet loss and slow internet speeds in my New Market-area connection. Cisco DPC 3000 cable modem; rebooted a couple of times to see if that works, did not.

Best illustration of the issue is running an "mtr" (»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTR_(software)) session from a Linux box I have; this is what I get:

                               My traceroute [v0.82]

The losses in general are much higher than one would expect, and those in the first few hops seem to be within the Mediacom network.

My up/down speeds seem to be lower than usual as well. I ran a few tests this morning and saw 12M downloads; I have 50M service.

Is anyone else seeing similar problems?

After a number of tests it looks like the problem was in my internal LAN. I cycled power on my router and switch and the problem looks to be gone.

MediacomChad was helpful in ruling out WAN problems and pointing me to the right test to figure out the story.
