That Asus is much cheaper than I expected, though I am curious why the newer 28Q is cheaper than the 26Q.

i think the 28q uses a cheaper-to-produce panel vs the 24q

edit:
from the various review websites i've read about the 248q, the main difference is in the LED backlighting the 248q uses which will reduce color gamut.

the 248q also doesn't support 10-bit color which won't matter much since there's very little support for deep color.
