EGeezerGo CatsPremium join:2002-08-04 Midwest kudos:8 | The scathing restaraunt review award goes to... ... This searing "shock and awe" attack on Guy Fieri's eatery. whether it's accurate or not, it is a napalm-imbedded bunker buster aimed at the establishment.
Did panic grip your soul as you stared into the whirling hypno wheel of the menu, where adjectives and nouns spin in a crazy vortex? When you saw the burger described as Guys Pat LaFrieda custom blend, all-natural Creekstone Farm Black Angus beef patty, LTOP (lettuce, tomato, onion + pickle), SMC (super-melty-cheese) and a slathering of Donkey Sauce on garlic-buttered brioche, did your mind touch the void for a minute? ...

| It was discussed on all the morning shows today, too. The Syracuse local news programs all did reports on it, as well, because Guy had just been in town this weekend for the premiere of an episode of his DD&D TV show featuring a great Syracuse Irish Pub, "Kitty Hoynes". |

| reply to EGeezer I find Guy to be the most annoying, sold out, uninteresting personally on the cooking TV circuit. I can't stand him. God bless him, I realize he appeals to many others, but he's just not my cup of tea. I like Alton Brown. I don't want to know who has the most hideously large burger, I want to know how to be a better cook!!!
Incidentally, my favorite kitchen show is America's Test Kitchens. It is a real, meaningful show. God forbid PBS loses more funding. -- Join Teams Helix and Discovery. Rest in Peace, Leonard David Smith, my best friend, you are missed badly! Rest in peace, Pop, glad our last years were good. Please pray for Colin, he has ependymoma, a brain cancer, donate to a children's Hospital. |
