WildBlue is Smokin' These Days

Anik F2 / Beam 37 / Pro Pak / No Proxy

Nice boost in WildBlue legacy download speeds the past few days.
On the negative side, DNS lookups are failing more often.

My Value Pack account on beam 31 has been operating at that speed during off peak times since October 10. [WildBlue] Faster Than Advertised. The page timeouts and DNS problems can be minimized by changing to a different Wildblue proxy.

While I was scheduling an upgrade for my WB sub, he mentioned his speeds seemed to have improved past week or so

When I was on site I did a download speed test before disconnecting and got a 4 meg result on his .5 account

Got 23.8 after Exede online
Pings were in mid 600s

Was on beam 38
