Uh yes if the nodes are heavily utilized, he does need a D3 modem. D2 is ONE channel. Easy to saturate.
Congestion after the DOCSIS nodes has a different effect, the latency would spike quite high. In almost every case I've seen, if the speeds are low but the ping is normal, IT IS A DOCSIS BANDWIDTH ISSUE. |
