Won't a CDL be required to pilot this thing, A la International CXT?

No. 26,001lb is the magic number. »cdltrainingconsultants.com/Who_N···DL_.html

Needing one for the CXT is a myth too. International was smart enough to keep the rating just below the federal level requiring a CDL. It's GVWR is 25,999. Driving the truck itself does not require one. If you pull a trailer over 10,000lbs then you will need one.
