Re: Another Edition of "What's Wrong With This Picture?&quo Well, it is ugly as heck and I wouldn't want to see it in my building, but technically what is wrong? I agree with the 750 estimate based on the information available, so there's plenty of capacity in the circuit. The multisplitter thingy would allow one to exceed the 300W rating that I see on the yellow tag, but I only see one code plugged, so 150W. I can't see the lights plugged into the orange cords so I'm not sure if they are grounded. No info on the power bar capacity or circuit protection. Switch looks dark. Is it lit when turned on? On the down side, the yellow label does have a rather ominous caution to unplug when not in use. Also, shouldn't there be a UL symbol somewhere on one of those tags (and on all components in this mess) ? Perhaps the label should say unplug and hide when not in use.  |
