| smtpauth.sbcglobal.net is it accessible? Switched from DSL to Uverse, and now server email is not flowing. Can not ping or telnet to smtpauth.sbcglobal.net. Can someone on the dsl side of the world test and see if you have access to this server.
It may be that the uverse is routed differently and does not have access to this server?
Will be looking for uverse workaround, but I can post in uverse for that answer.
So if you have dsl can you touch the smtpauth.sbcglobal.net server? -- The sooner we get behind schedule, the more time we have to catch up. |

| except that all the other ones need ssl, and this one didn't, and exchange does not do ssl. . .
The hoops att makes us jump through.
Thanks for the response, good data that I am not the only one. -- The sooner we get behind schedule, the more time we have to catch up. |

| reply to tr6scott Ok, Thanks for the info guys, it seems that there was an issue with the server when I posted this and Dennis seemed to confirm.
Now it appears that the server is up, but on the uverse side of at&t my port 25 block opt out did not transfer to uverse.
telnet smtpauth.sbcglobal.net 25
Connecting To smtpauth.sbcglobal.net...Could not open connection to the host, on
port 25: Connect failed
Thanks for the confirmations, appreciate the help.

I lost port 25 access when I quit AT&T (I had requested removal from the block in early 2003; quit AT&T in 2011).
My new ISP blocks port 25 both directions on dynamic IP accounts; but not on static IP accounts. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |
