Did anyone succeed to get the upcoming price hike waived?

Hi all,

Did anyone manage to get the “just because” upcoming price increase waived?

If so, how did you do? I just spoke with the most clueless and dumbest retentions rep ever who didn't understand anything I was asking for.

Thanks for sharing,

They will never waive any price increases. The best they can do is offer you a retention deal if you threaten to leave, but that often involves a contract.

Clearly you haven't been around for a while. They waive fee's all the time. Depends who you get on the phone over at billing (not support).

Hi there,

Have you tried calling the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services? (CCTS)

If you believe that your service provider might be breaching your contract by increasing the price of the service you subscribed to, CCTS may be able to help you resolve your complaint.

Here's their website: www.ccts-cprst.ca

Call again you might get a more intelligent CSR, though good luck understanding a word they say.

Thanks. I'm not sure this is a breach as it is a no term contract anyway?

Even with a contract, there's bound to be a clause buried somewhere that say "we can raise the rates whenever we want, just because".

Fees and price increases are completely different things.
