[Professions] Thanksgiving; Level Your Cooking

A reminder that you can level your cooking really easy with the food and recipes provided outside your major capital cities.

I’m websensed but there is a guide on wowhead that breaks it down barney style.

Bottom line, you can get to 400+ in under an hour with roughly 5g.

With the exception of wild turkey all mats can be bought at various capital city thanksgiving areas.

There is no need for this.

When you reach the valley of the four winds in halfhill you can level your cooking from 1-600 with just buying some golden carp and vendor mats.

I agree with that, if you are into the holiday achievements and stuff it is a win/win scenario. For me it was more a convenience thing so I didn't stop leveling my toon and get the cooking later.

I had 525 cooking when MoP hit so I was fine putting cooking on the back burner till 90.

then grinding out master of the ways.

and now I'm grinding out student rep with Nomi, that kid is gonna learn cooking even if I have to buy a ton of cooking mats from that vendor.

Leveled cooking at Halfhill in about 30 minutes on my Monk which had no cooking. One spot, next to no cost.

Leveling is such a fast process, there's no time to waste on cooking. We yelled at stvn for stopping to level up cooking pre-halfhill.

Well as it is I'm not really sure if any of my alts will get to 90.

My highest alt is my 81 priest, got benched for now for focus on lvl90 stuff on my main and RAF leveling my lock.

*ugh* all that flying, as at least one item is at each capital city.
I wish they'd put in teleporters or what ever the gnomes call those things.
Or maybe a cannon. Just hop in, it blasts you off, and you get a nice gentle fall with your gnomish chute...
Just have to remember to wear it

I wish they'd do "events" like this for other professions. Alchemy, enchanting, engineering, blacksmithing, inscription.
It would be nice to stand in a spot and just grind the skill up, instead of having to spend loads of gold in the AH, or loads of time gathering the resources.

Golden carps are really cheap on the AH, I think fishing is the only profession I will never level.

At the monk sanctuary. Whatever level you can get in there, you can fish up at skill 1 and pick up MoP fish, including Golden Carp.
