"Baking away"

Click for full size
I don't do much baking.
But I saw a recipe for "Cranberry Bars" on my local news. It looked so good, and simple, that I had to try it out.
I wish there was "smell-o-vision" because this smells SOOOO good!
When this is cooled, in the refrigerator over night. I cut them into "bars."

I hope it tastes as good as it smells!

OK, I've been meaning to ask you this for awhile, and this post joggled my memory!

Why is it, when I watch all those shows on TV about restaurants, that almost ALL of them use what I would call very basic aluminum pots and pans? I figured it would be some high-zoot fancy coated stuff, but dang near all of em just use aluminum.

What's the scoop??!

You would be surprised. A lot of the aluminum pots and pans we use in the restaurant I work in, LOOK cheap. But believe me, they are NOT cheap at all. They are quite thick, so as to not burn easy like you could with thinner and cheap stuff.

This particular pan I used for this, IS cheap since I am taking it someplace and if I forget it, it is no big deal.
