As is flash java, digikam for my camera. USB was the only thing I had to do something to get thumbdrives to be recognised automatically. I had to unbind the 0000:00:01a7 and 0000:00:01d7 entries, then plug the thumbdrives in and all was fine. The unbind's will not survive a reboot so there are several methods to get them going just fine. I am using kde version since todays drives are large and cpu/memory is large enough to handle everything thrown at it. I used to use fluxbox. I have tried xfce and razorQt, loving razorQt also.
Time to get my wife a new laptop anyway, I will keep the dual core and get her an i7 quad core for windows 8.
Not one glitch yet, no freezes either. dvd/blue ray is fine, dvd cloning, copying, writing is fine. avi plays fine, nothing that I do in windows except, I do miss foobar but I can live without it for the laptop.
Anyone know if there is something like readyboost for debian? -- Live Free or Die! Siduction (Kanotix>Sidux>Apotsid>Forked to siduction) »siduction.org/ »www.chronixradio.com
